Scrap car collection in Wigan
Move on from a vehicle that no longer makes sense
A failed MOT, major mechanical problem or heavy accident damage may cost more to repair than the car is worth. We help Wigan motorists arrange a fair valuation and practical recovery.
The collection network covers Wigan itself and communities across the wider borough. Vehicles do not have to be roadworthy when there is enough room for the recovery truck to approach and load safely.
Before you commit, we explain identification, secure payment and the keeper update. You can then decide with a clear understanding of the complete handover.
How it works
From Wigan quote to vehicle removal
The process is designed to keep the essentials manageable.
Confirm the arrangements
Accept only when satisfied. We then agree the collection point, access details, identity evidence and appointment.
Hand the car over
The recycling partner checks the description, recovers the vehicle and completes payment by the agreed secure method.

Common questions
Questions about scrapping a car in Wigan
Can you collect outside Wigan town centre?
Yes, coverage reaches many places across the borough. Enter the exact postcode so we can check the most suitable local partner.
Will you take a car with a failed MOT?
Yes, MOT failures are regularly considered. Describe the failed items and any resulting mobility or safety problem when requesting the valuation.
Can recovery take place from a narrow street?
Possibly, if the truck has legal access and loading space. Photos or a nearby alternative meeting point may be requested where the street is restricted.
Could the valuation change at collection?
It is based on the information supplied. A material difference in condition, model or missing parts may require the partner to review its offer.
Do I need the V5C logbook?
It is normally helpful and often requested. If it is missing, tell us in advance because alternative ownership evidence may be necessary.
When do I notify the DVLA?
Submit the keeper change after the vehicle is handed over, using the buyer details provided. Retain the DVLA confirmation for your records.
